I believe that health insurance should be available to everyone and if you look hard enough it really is. In the U.S., many of us received health insurance benefits through our employer. This was great 50 years or even 15 years ago but today many of us are consultants, self-employed or unemployed.
When you are in one of these positions, it becomes imperative to educate yourself about health insurance and health insurance benefits. There is no Human Resource department to guide us through this complex decision. Fortunately there are websites like HealthPlanOne to make these decisions a little simpler. You can get quotes and compare benefits side-by-side of each plan.

I used the site to get health insurance in Ohio and I was amazed at the low cost of some of the plans. I am originally from NY and I assumed all of the plans would be $500 and up.
